Father of the Groom Speeches: Where to find Father of the Groom Speeches Samples

Your son is getting married (finally!) and you know that you have to give a father of groom speech that you both will be proud of. It is going to be a big day and giving a speech in front of a large audience can be nerve wracking for anybody who isn’t used to public speaking.

This article will detail some resources that will help you to find father of the groom speeches examples.

1:         Friends and Family Wedding Videos

Why not ask your friends or relatives who have recently gotten married if you can watch their wedding video? You can skip through to the speeches section and maybe watch a few of the speeches including the Father of the Bride’s speech and the Best Man’s speech as well as the father of the groom speeches. You will get a few ideas on what to say and maybe even what not to say and also how to deliver the speech. Just be careful not to copy anybody’s speech as some of the guests at that wedding may be invited to your son’s wedding. You don’t want to sound like you “borrowed” someone else’s wedding speech!

2:         Online Search

You can also use Google (or Yahoo, or Bing....) to search for wedding speeches that that are relevant to you. It is often difficult to find good quality transcripts of speeches, however you may find a few quotes or pointers that will help.

3.         Search Youtube

Youtube is an ever popular source of videos and people often post their wedding videos or videos of certain parts of their wedding to Youtube. I have found many examples of wedding speech videos on Youtube. Some of them are very good examples of how to deliver a speech to be proud of but you will also find a lot of examples of speeches that are funny for all the wrong reasons!

4.         Find and Expert Source

When I really need to find good information, particularly if I am nervous about the subject matter, this is my favorite option.  It saves me hours of time searching and I know that I can trust the information that I find. When I find an expert source of information, it gives me the confidence that I need to proceed with whatever task I need to complete.
